It looks like there will only be one spinnaker class. I hope I am wrong. If there is only one class please tell me now. The slower boats (like me) have zero chance against the faster boats. All we do is provide points. Anyone? Powers that be?

OK I see the problem. Hard to split up 5 boats. Hopefully more boats will join.

It would help if the usual reaching fest could be avoided and it could be a tactical race...Like setting a course with some significant windward work (like a long beat from Faulkner's to Middle Ground if there's a southwesterly...) followed by a true downwind leg....So the big boats and sprit boats don't just go over the horizon on us...

Preliminary scratch sheet: windjammers.org/2009%20Overnight_Scratch.htmWe would have entered Full Tilt in the non-spin class, but Joyce has to work Sunday, so that's out. C'mon guys, keep the non-spin class open! It's gonna be a beautiful summer evening to be on the water.

C'mon skippers, you know you want to race tomorrow! There may still be time to sign up, especially for the non-spin division. Steve H. just posted an updated scratch sheet showing two spinnaker and one non-spin classes.

Going the wrong way thru the start line is FAST! I'm doing that again next year. Fun race, thanks to all that made it happen.
