Good opportunity for a tune up for next week's WAH race. Looks like the weather's gonna be mighty fine, too.
OK, so I'm bored. Not every post is gonna be silver-plated.

Please disregard last nights results. The sequence was not accurate as well as the vessel logs.

either way it was a fun race. Who was the C&C sail number 6? And it was so nice of the breeze to fill in.

Jim, yeah it sure was a fun race. We totally nailed the start last night; obviously there's a first time for everything! I'm not sure who the C&C with #6 sail belongs to, I'll have to see if I have any record of them in my scratch sheets.
Nick, let me know if you'll be able to get more detailed results; my crew is bugging me for the results, and if I show us in 3rd from last place, they'll probably keel-haul me.

Bob,
I can only do the results if the RC gives me the finish times which they haven't. When they do I will phrf it out.

Sorry about attaching the wrong boat names to the numbers earlier, that's what I get for trying to do something before coffee in the morning.

Thanks. By the way, what does "OCS" stand for?

"OCS" means On Course Side of the staring line at the start, in other words Over Early.

There were several boats over early, but there were 13 in the 27+ class that realized we were in a 5 minute sequence by looking at the flags versus a rolling start.

Nice job on committee. I wasn't out but once I saw the list of boats, and the OCS scores I was impressed. It takes effort and attention to get that info. Also to get the races off with that many boats.
Shame on those that don't pay attention to the signals! Read the rules and sailing instructions!
One comment I heard was that the courses could have been longer. Either more 'laps' or longer legs. Just food for though for the future. This time of year it's ok to keep everyone out until 8pm or even longer on a good night.
Thanks for doing RC

You're right about the course length, the breeze would have allowed at least two more legs, but we realized while setting the line that we were low on beer. Priorities.

You should have set a longer course, and then written "RC NEEDS BEER" on the white board. Hopefully people would toss you cold ones as they rounded the S mark.......

It looks like the results posted on the Racing section of the Windjammers web site are wrong; they may have gotten a copy of the incorrect results that were posted here first.
