Great job Saturday!
Although the course wasn't what it might have been...Super skewed beat (i.e. one tack upwind) and followed by a reach back...Us non-spin guys aren't complaining!!!
The party was super with plenty of food and drink and a fun raffle.
What a great way to end the season...Chris Columbus would've loved it!!!

Hard to believe middleground was a one tack.. guess if you banged a big corner..but wasnt Connecticut in he way??anyway, definately started a bit skewed and got worse as the wind went clocked. The Columbus day race has traditionally been a mini distance, point to point affair. I think. Statford shoal was the only point upwind so off you went. Maybe next year we put PJ and Mattituck on the mark list. Thank God the wind held. What food?? Wish there was enough non spin boats for two fleets. Maybe next year.

For all of those who contributed time and energy to this - thanks from WSC. Specifically CCYC wanted to take it on with help from MYC and WSC.
New Haven Yacht Club decided to give this race up a few years ago and HBC/MYC/WSC took it over. After a full season of running races and parties it's hard to give this one your all in October.
I think it will have new life with the addition of CCYC and they did a great job organizing and running the day.
And yes, thank God the wind held!
